Shoo
Fly
- is a very colorful cow that has really
been an asset to our breeding program. Her lineage traces back to
easily recognizable favorites such as Mr. Measles and Maybelline Eyes.
Shoo Fly was bred for the Texas Twist horn shape and she passes that along
to her offspring.
Theodica
-
Nothing gets your attention quicker than seeing a black cow like this one
in your pasture. This tall cow has a pedigree that reflects breeding
for horn and conformation. Theodica was sired by the ever popular
Overhead, and her dam, Stockton's Rosita shows careful breeding to lock
in true Texas Longhorn traits.
SLR
Butterfly Kisses
- Specks, specks, and more
specks. Talk about bold color - Butterfly Kisses' calves all seem
to carry on the very spotted coloration pattern she has. This young
cow has very correct conformation that compliments her loud color.
Her excellent disposition is also passed on to her calves who have all
been on the show circuit.
Black
Hills - When you are trying to describe what
a good Texas Longhorn mama cow should look like and how she would raise
a calf, I think that Black Hills would probably be the one you would use
to set the standard. This Measles Super Ranger daughter has held
up very well through the years raising calves for us, and at the same time
she managed to develop quite a set of super twisty horns.
Diamond
Lil
- When you walk into the pastures, I am
sure that your eyes will be drawn to this cow. One of the longest
horned cows in our herd, Diamond Lil also has the "broody" characteristic
of a cow that will always out produce herself. This large bodied
cow has never disappointed us - she calves regularly and passes on her
wild coloration and great horn. This cow has the type of disposition
that makes it a pleasure to walk in the pasture with.
SLR
Aria - is another one of our younger females.
She is the daughter of Lyric. Aria is starting to develop into a
wonderful cow. You will notice that she has a lot of height and shows
a lot of lateral horn. Aria has been shown extensively on the ITLA
show circuit where she has won many awards.
CPA
Dust Devil
- This nice cow with unusual Parker
brown and deep red coloration is one of the newer additions to our herd.
As a first time heifer she surprised us when she delivered a healthy set
of twins in 2005.
Lyric
-
This tall and long bodied cow has the type of conformation that our program
is designed around. Her clean underline, minimal dewlap and structural
correctness are the pieces that make up a perfect cow. All of these
items were noticed when she was actively campaigned on the show circuit.
