PURPOSE: The Johnson County Genealogical Society originated in 1984 from the
efforts of the founders to collect as well as preserve genealogical and historical information
about the people of Johnson County. Its purpose is to inform as well as aid members in
genealogical research and to publish records of interest to those seeking their genealogical
background.
