********************************************************************************* USCF Track Officials Needed in North Texas for Superdrome(tm) events Info follows on the 1998 calendar of USCF Officiating Seminars. ********************************************************************************* Greetings from Mike Gladu, Manager of the EDS Superdrome In Frisco. Opening day for the EDS Superdrome(tm) In Frisco is fast approaching. Here's your chance to get in on the ground floor as a competitor, volunteer or USCF Official. The inaugural Superdrome(tm) season begins in late April with a Team USA training camp, the start of our weekly Saturday Night Racing Series for local riders in June and these three exciting elite events to get the ball rolling for 1998: May 15/16, 1998: EDS CLASSIC Jun 30 - Jul 4, 1998: EDS ELITE NATIONAL TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS Sep 11 - 13, 1998: EDS TRACK CUP FINALS With events like that on tap, we should fill the stands every night and offer a great chance for local residents and the cycling community to participate INSIDE the 250 meter, wood surfaced, 44 degree banked oval as volunteers and USCF-licensed officials in support of these competitions. If joining the Superdrome(tm)'s volunteer crew sounds like fun or you'd like to get on the fast track (pun intended) to becoming a licensed United States Cycling Federation Official working events at the velodrome - EDS, Collin County Community College and the City of Frisco want YOU! Add your name to the growing list of velodrome insiders by calling, writing or emailing me contact information at the addresses below. Don't be shy - we wont be happy unless HUNDREDS of people sign up to be volunteers or Officials. In order to build a larger list of fresh new faces with USCF Official's licenses, we've even arranged for the license to be FREE instead of $35 and the seminar fee to be waived as well. So if you thought you'd never get a chance to see track racing up close and personal or thought the process of getting a USCF Official's license was inconvenient or too expensive - here's your chance to get in on the ground floor at a local site for FREE!
