Page 1 of the S Lazy R Herd

Welcome to the S Lazy R Ranch.  We hope you will take the time to look over our herd.  We take great pride in preserving history through these living works of art.  To see a larger version of each picture, just click on it.  Enjoy your virtual pasture tour!

Dottie is a one of our cows that has really shown a lot of potential.  She has a pedigree that includes some of the Butler foundation names through her sire Little OT.  Dottie has been shown extensively in the ITLA show circuit and has many championship ribbons to her name.  She is easily one of our largest cows and is an excellent milker - traits which she has passed on to her offspring over and over.

LY Kassie has the unmistakable dun coloring that helps to add variety to our herd.  She passes on either the dun and white or grulla coloration to her offspring.  Kassie was an ITLA Region 11 Reserve Champion High Point Legacy award winner for 2000 and she has continued to prove herself as a contender in the show arena.  Kassie's calves have also done quite well in the show arena, so now could be the time for you to reserve your next show calf from this large bodied and colorful cow!

Princessa - just as her name implies, this regal cow has always been a winner on the show circuit - she is a two time ITLA Region 11 High Point Legacy Champion.  With amazing horn growth, a solid body and conformation, we are expecting many great show prospects from her.  She has easily established herself as an important part of our herd, and an important contributor to our breeding program.

Miss Texas Chaps - affectionately known as "Chappie", this gorgeous cow has been a constant source of great color and horn for our calf crop.  She has often passed on her brindle coloration in her calves.  In 1999 she was an ITLA Region 11 High Point Legacy Champion.  Her horns and great disposition have made her a front pasture favorite for us.

YabbaDabbaDoo - this Mr. Measles daughter not only has an incredible udder for her age, but she also has a really nice traditional Texas Twist to her horns. The parker brown coloration that makes her so eye appealing is usually passed on to her calves.  When crossed with our new herd sire Denny, all of her calves are guaranteed to be something to brag about!

Bar D Miss Dollie - Miss Dollie has already started making her mark on our breeding program.  Some of her accolades include being crowned as the Grand Champion All-Age female (nonhaltered) at the 2004 ITLA Championship Show!  This cow is one that has the complete package, from the highly desirable flat, twisty horns to the eye-catching brindle and white coloration and the very correct conformation.

Victory Belle - this young cow is the result of pairing Impacts Sic'Em, a champion bull with Belle of Sugarloaf.  She continues to add more horn every day, and her calves all have carried on this trait too.  She is a lasting tribute to the breeding program of Gary Henry, and her show results reflect her pedigree when she was selected as Champion Senior Heifer.

Mistake Again - This Mister Measles daughter is one of our very best mama cows.  Mistake Again did well on the show circuit, where the judges were always drawn to her fabulous colors and feminine features.  Her calves have also been popular on the show circuit too.  If you are looking for a show prospect calf, just ask for one of hers from our next calf crop!
